The Galway star received 3,710 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Mayo’s Matthew Ruane (1,454) and Kerry’s Tony Brosnan (1,426)

Galway full forward Damien Comer was at his brilliant best in Sunday's Connacht SFC Final win over Mayo. Annaghdown clubman Comer scored two points, supplied the assist for one more, and was fouled for four frees which were converted by Rob Finnerty.
Tony Brosnan (Kerry)
Tony Brosnan clipped three points from play in Sunday's Munster SFC Final victory over Clare at Cusack Park. The Dr Crokes attacker showed his class throughout.
Mattthew Ruane (Mayo)
Mattie Ruane produced a powerful performance in the Connacht SFC Final. The Breaffy clubman supplied three points from play, but it wasn't enough to deny Galway.
