Conor Foley is this week's GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

Wexford’s Conor Foley has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The talented defender received 1,840 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Tipperary’s Jake Morris (1724), and Limerick’s Shane O’Brien (1695)

Conor Foley (Wexford)

Foley produced a thundering display for Wexford at full-back their draw against Kilkenny at Nowlan Park. He scored two points from play and his ability to win ball and then start counter-attacks with accurate stick-passing was very impressive.

Jake Morris (Tipperary)

Tipperary’s vice-captain certainly showed a lot of leadership in the Premier County’s win over Dublin. He scored 1-4 from play with the goal a ruthless finish that killed off the Dublin challenge.

Shane O’Brien (Limerick)

A start at underage level for Limerick, Shane O’Brien looks like he might be ready to make a big impact in the senior grade this year going on his performance against Antrim. He scored 1-5 from play and his speed, size, skill, and scoring instinct is very impressive.

Players of the Week are decided based on votes cast by followers of the Official GAA Instagram page.
