The steady and impressive growth of World GAA will be hot-housed further in the coming months with a series of Coach Developer Courses taking place in Australasia, Europe, and the Middle East.
The Overseas Coach Developer Trainees will initially take part in three online sessions facilitated by Leinster GAA Coach Developer Assessors.
That will be followed by three in-person sessions in Sydney and Paris next month which will be facilitated by some of the Association’s most highly respected coach educators.
Liam Moggan and Sean Kelly will lead the session in Paris, while Paudie O’Neill will lead the session in Syndey.
The rapid growth of Gaelic games in Australasia is reflected by the fact that they’ve put forward 18 trainees to take part in the upcoming Coach Development Course.
“We are delighted to be hosting, in partnership with Leinster GAA, Sport Ireland and World GAA, a coach developer course here in Australasia,” says Ned Sheehy, Chairperson of Australasia GAA.
“This course is another step in becoming self-sufficient and building capacity within our regions across Australasia. 18 participants have been selected from across Australia and New Zealand for their commitment to development and coaching within their clubs/region. This is a great opportunity to develop Gaelic Games here in Australasia.”
