Cathal O'Neill voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week

Limerick’s Cathal O’Neill has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The dashing forward received 3,287 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of team-mates Cian Lynch (3,145) and Aaron Gillane (1,842).

Cathal O’Neill – Limerick

Cathal O’Neill produced an all-action display for Limerick on Sunday. He won a huge amount of possession, stretched the Galway defence time and again with his direct running, and was the game’s top-scorer with a tally of 1-4.

Cian Lynch – Limerick

Cian Lynch was the midfield metronome that dictated the rhythm of Sunday’s All-Ireland Final. His ability to win ball and use it creatively was a joy to behold, and he also chipped in with two great points from play.

Aaron Gillane – Limerick

Limerick’s target-man was back to his very best on Sunday as he scored four points from play and created many opportunities for his team-mates, including Cathal O’Neill’s second-half goal.
