Carrickmacross Emmets named Club of the Year at 2025 GAA Rounders All-Stars

Carrickmacross Emmets completed a remarkable season by being named Club of the Year, adding to their dominant showing in the Senior Men’s All-Stars where they claimed six places across the ten positions.
With Colm Kiernan (Catcher) and Barry Lambe (Pitcher) forming an elite partnership, and an all-Carrick outfield featuring Oran Kiernan (Centre Outfield), Declan Finnegan (Left Outfield) and Euan Matthews (Right Outfield), the Monaghan side’s depth and consistency were clear for all to see. Justin Burns (3rd Base) added further Carrick representation, reinforcing a season where the club set the standard across the board.
Erne Eagles were represented through Shane Sheridan (1st Base) and Ger Clerkin (2nd Base), while Paul Cooper (Short Stop) of Glynn Barntown and Ciaran Weldon (Roaming) of Limekiln rounded out the Senior Men’s line-up.
Michelle Hopkins of Breaffy was named winner of the best female pitcher at the GAA Rounders All-Star Awards.
Senior Ladies’ All-Stars
In the Senior Ladies’ awards, Michelle Hopkins (Pitcher) and Katie Groonell (Catcher) of Breaffy were rewarded for superb seasons.
Sheena King (1st Base) of Glynn Barntown and Geraldine Goldrick (2nd Base) of Erne Eagles excelled in the infield, with Paula Doherty (3rd Base) of Breaffy and Ann-Marie Dunphy (Short Stop) of Glynn Barntown completing the middle.
The outfield trio of Amy Moloney (Left Outfield) of Cuchulainn, Abbie Delaney (Centre Outfield) of Glynn Barntown and Claire Burke (Right Outfield) of Breaffy combined athleticism and reliability, while Chloe Doyle (Roaming) of Glynn Barntown received roaming honours.

Record-breaking All-Stars Night
A sell-out crowd of 250 people packed the Osprey Hotel, Naas, making it the biggest All-Stars event in GAA Rounders history and a landmark moment for the sport.
Communications Officer Joe Naughton praised the occasion and the direction of the sport:
“The sport of GAA Rounders is absolutely exploding at the moment. We have new clubs looking to join every single week, and tonight’s crowd is a testament to the sport’s growth and energy.
Well done to all the winners and nominees — the future of Rounders has never looked brighter.”
After a season defined by quality, competition and rising standards — and with Carrickmacross recognised as Club of the Year, the bar has been set incredibly high heading into 2026.
