The Cork forward received 3,424 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Clare duo Eibhear Quilligan (1,879) and Sean Rynne (1,380).

Brian Hayes – Cork

Brian Hayes was at his destructive best for Cork in their comfortable All-Ireland quarter-final win over Offaly. The powerful inside-forward scored three goals and his ball-winning ability created many more opportunities for his team-mates.

Eibhear Quilligan - Clare

Eibhear Quilligan produced a sensational display of goalkeeping in Clare’s All-Ireland SHC quarter-final victory over Dublin. He kept a clean sheet by making a remarkable seven saves which had a huge bearing on the outcome of the game.

Sean Rynne – Clare

Sean Rynne has been one of Clare’s best players so far this year and was in fine form once more in their win over Dublin. The all-action half-forward finished with a personal tally of five points from play.
