Building on a trusted partnership spanning more than a decade, Avonmore Protein Milk today announces a five‑year extension, reaffirming its role as the official protein drink of the GAA/ GPA.
Avonmore, Ireland’s No.1 milk brand, is a name trusted by Irish households since 1966. Avonmore is owned by Tirlán, Ireland’s leading farmer-owned food and nutrition co-operative. Avonmore has built its reputation on delivering the finest quality and freshest dairy products, without compromise. Avonmore Protein Milk is proudly made with Fresh Irish Milk, is high in protein and a good source of calcium, offering a range of flavours and protein options designed to suit all lifestyles.
As the official protein drink of the GAA/ GPA, Avonmore Protein Milk has long been associated with sport and high performance. However, the brand continues to evolve its role, positioning Avonmore Protein Milk as a drink for everyone. Supporting everyday movement, from commuting to work, busy lifestyles and daily routines,
Avonmore Protein Milk makes protein accessible and relevant at every level of activity. Whether playing Gaelic games at county level, for enjoyment, or cheering from the stands, there is an Avonmore Protein Milk option for all.
Bringing this partnership to life in Croke Park were Kilkenny hurler Martin “Mossy” Keoghan, Westmeath senior footballer Sam McCartan and Waterford senior footballer Kellyann Hogan.
Mossy, Avonmore Protein Milk Brand Ambassador, is one of the game’s leading forwards. He collected his first PwC All‑Star award in 2025 following a standout season and has won six Leinster titles. He has put in strong performances so far this year, scoring 2-0.3 against Wexford in a man-of-the-match display and three points in Kilkenny’s draw with Offaly.
Waterford footballer, Kellyann Hogan has developed into one of the team’s standout performers, most recently scoring 1-08 against Cork and face points against Tipperary. Waterford have won all their games in the Championship this year, progressing to the upcoming Munster Final.
Sam McCartan and his fellow Westmeath teammates were freshly crowned Leinster Champions yesterday, winning the Lake County’s second ever Leinster title with an extra-time win over Dublin yesterday. McCartan was influential as ever in the game, linked defence to attack and chipping in with two points also.
Michelle Daly Lennon, Head of Category/Channel Marketing & Innovation at Tirlán said; “Avonmore Protein Milk is delighted to extend its long‑standing partnership with the GAA and GPA. For that, on behalf of those players, I want to say thank you to Michelle and all at Tirlán.”
