A meeting of Ard Chomhairle took place at Croke Park earlier today.

The 2027 Fixtures Masterplan was agreed subject to counties being afforded more time to consider two schedules for the staging of next year's Joe McDonagh Cup - one with the final being staged on week 23 (alongside the Leinster hurling final), the other on week 27 (before one of the All-Ireland semi-finals).

The CCCC was also asked to examine the current 60-hour rule which governs the availability of players for the U20 and senior championships.

Carlow GAA was granted permission to stage an exhibition game at Netwatch Cullen Park next February as part of fundraising efforts relating to the further development of the county's Centre of Excellence at Fenagh.

The meeting also heard presentations on the Club Referee Survey Report and from the Development CCCC, Hurling Development Committee, Football Expert Advisory Group and Hurling Expert Advisory Group.

The Coaching and Games Development Report was also adopted at the meeting.
