Meetings of Coiste Bainistíochta and Ard Chomhairle took place over the weekend.
Coiste Bainistíochta have referred the Association’s partnership with Allianz to the Ethics and Integrity Committee.
The FRC presented its final report to Ard Chomhairle, including minor amendments, ahead of next month’s Special Congress.
The CCCC presented the 2026 Fixtures Masterplan which is to be circulated to counties for consideration and feedback.
After hearing a presentation from the working group headed by Páraic Duffy, it was agreed to send forward to Congress proposals for the 2027 Fixtures Masterplan, which if passed would see the hurling final played on the last Sunday of July and the football final two weeks later.
It was decided to convene a single topic standalone meeting to confirm the dates around the close season and the return to training for inter-county players.
Central Council also heard a detailed presentation from the Hurling Development Committee ahead of the last of the Committee’s roadshows, which takes place in Croke Park on Monday night next.
Galway GAA was granted permission to host six Galway Utd soccer matches at Pearse Stadium.
