Mary Glancy

Mary Glancy recalls her earliest GAA memories. She discusses the formation of the ladies football team in Carrick-on-Shannon, and also recalls the camogie team that existed. She details her involvement in ladies football, both at club and inter-county level. She talks about the relationship of the women's organisation with their male counterparts. Mary recalls some of the successes in ladies football in Leitrim. She also recalls her own administrative career, and talks about changes in the role of women in the GAA, before discussing her father's involvement in the GAA. She discusses the social aspect to the GAA, recalls her best memories from her time in the Association, and explains what the GAA means to her.
