Enda Quinn and Brendan Lambe

Enda Quinn and Brendan Lambe talk about their involvement in the Toome club, which was started in Monaghan in the 1950s and has been building slowly ever since. They talk about their success at senior and underage level, and about their efforts to keep improving every year. This involved raising funds so that they could secure a pitch to call their own and then develop their facilities. It has taken time because they are not based in a specific townland, but progress has been made to the extent where they can boast extensive facilities, including an astro turf pitch and a playschool. Enda and Brendan reflect on the administrative work they have done over the years, the increased involvement of women in the day-to-day running of the club and on the difficulties that are often faced by small clubs.
