EirGrid Connacht U20 Football Championship

Mayo 0-16 Galway 2-6

Sligo 0-9 Roscommon 0-9

Mayo finished with a real flourish to defeat Galway at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park.

Trailing 2-6 to 0-9 early in the second half, Mayo subsequently reeled off seven points on the spin to claim the spoils.

Darragh Reilly, Finbar McLaughlin, Niall Hurley, Darragh Beirne, Oisín Cronin, Tom Lydon, and Diarmuid Duffy clipped vital scores.

Ronan Colleran and Darragh Costello netted first half goals for Galway, who led 2-4 to 0-9 at the break, but Mayo prevailed.

Bobby Nugent's late free ensured Roscommon earned a draw against Sligo at Markievicz Park.

Roscommon, who drew with Mayo last week, were involved in another hard fought encounter against a highly regarded Sligo outfit.

With Ross Doherty and Rossa Sloyan prominent, Sligo led 0-6 to 0-2 ahead at the interval.

After the restart Roscommon improved considerably with Conor Ryan nailing the equaliser.

Noel Dunning's charges edged 0-8 to 0-6 ahead before Sligo summoned a response courtesy of scores from Eli Rooney, Luke Marren, and Ronan Niland.

Deep into stoppage time, though, Nugent levelled matters.
