EirGrid Munster U20 Football Championship

Tipperary 1-8 Clare 1-6

Limerick 2-7 Waterford 2-6

Tipperary finished with a real flourish to secure a vital victory over Clare in Quility.

Trailing 1-6 to 0-5 with 11 minutes remaining, Tipperary enjoyed a productive finish to the game.

Orrin Jones' goal injected Tipperary's challenge with belief and momentum in the closing stages.

A pointed free from Jones levelled matters in the 53rd minute before Robbie McGrath and Joe Higgins contributed crucial scores.

Clare led 0-4 to 0-2 at half-time with Aaron Kelly netting a third quarter goal to steer the Banner five clear, but Tipperary recovered.

Waterford staged a dramatic comeback, but Limerick survived to secure the spoils.

First half goals from Senan O'Brien and Diarmuid Hynes put Limerick into a commanding position.

Waterford, though, replied with majors from Mikey O'Brien and Michael O'Sullivan, but Limerick still triumphed.
