The Offaly footballer received 2,773 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Dublin's Paul Mannion (2,674) and Armagh's Rory Grugan (2,569).

Offaly enjoyed an encouraging Leinster SFC victory over Laois on Saturday evening with Cormac Egan an influential figure. One of several 2021 All-Ireland winning U20s in the Offaly panel, Egan demonstrated his ability on the senior stage.

Classy Kilmacud Crokes clubman Paul Mannion starred for Dublin against Meath in the Leinster SFC at Croke Park on Sunday. Mannion finished with 1-6 and was a potent attacking threat throughout.
