Who can access Purchase Power deals and discounts?

Every GAA unit

Is there a cost involved for GAA units?

No – Purchase Power is a new service provided and funded by GAA Central Council to help GAA units reduce time and effort, and ensure they are getting value for money.

What are the benefits of using Purchase Power?

  • Reduce time and effort for staff and volunteers involved in purchasing
  • Release valuable resources (time and money) to be directed towards other activities
  • Benchmark your current prices to ensure you are getting value for money
  • Reduce costs
  • Manage reputational risk
  • Ensure your suppliers are validated and compliant in areas like health & safety, quality systems, tax certification, financial standing

Is there any obligation to use the service?

No, none at all. But if you do, you can find out if you are currently getting value for money, discover new suppliers, and could reduce your costs.

Will this service displace my current or local suppliers?

No – but participation in the programme could open up those suppliers to new business opportunities.

What if I need products/services/works not offered as Purchase Power deals?

A second part of the programme has been the launch of a supplier search facility to meet local unit needs. This allows GAA units to use Achilles Supply-Line – a powerful online supplier search and management tool – to source prequalified suppliers for your unit’s individual purchasing needs.
