Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Championship Semi-Final

Tipperary 0-23 Cork 1-15

A strong second-half display from Tipperary saw them come from six points behind to beat Cork in Thursday's Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Semi-Final at Pairc Ui Rinn.

There was little between the teams in a highly competitive first half that was deadlocked at 0-7 apiece after 25 minutes.

But then Cork struck the first really heavy blow of the match when the impressive Josh Beausang goaled to give them a surge of momentum.

The home team led by three points at half-time and kicked on again at the start of the second-half as three more unanswered points pushed them 1-12 to 0-9 ahead.

At that point Cork liked they were in good shape, but Tipperary finished the match in devastating fashion by outscoring the Rebels by 0-14 to 0-3 in the final 25 minutes.

Substitutes Dylan Walsh made the real difference in this period for the Premier County as he scored four fine points, while fellow substitute Cian Flanagan, Paddy Cadell, and Lyndon Fairbrother also hurled powerfully.

Tipperary now advance to the Munster Final on July 10 where they will face Limerick who defeated Waterford in the other Munster semi-final on Wednesday night.
