GAA.ie Footballer of the Week

1: Paul Geaney (Kerry) - 5,044 votes

2: Ciarán Kilkenny (Dublin) - 3,916 votes

3: Colm Cavanagh (Moy) - 3,091 votes

These are encouraging times for Kerry, who are integrating a raft of talented youngsters to work alongside gifted players such as Paul Geaney.

In a physical battle Kerry's forwards were still sufficiently classy to inflict damage with Geaney notching three points from play, including a vital effort towards the end after Eamonn Fitzmaurice's team had two players red carded.

For the second week in a row Dublin, inspired in Omagh by Ciaran Kilkenny, encountered some first half problems before recovering to dominate the second period.

Kilkenny mined 1-2 for Dublin, who recovered following the concession of an early goal, with the Castleknock clubman effective throughout.

It was an emotional Saturday afternoon for Moy at GAA headquarters with Colm Cavanagh driving the Tyrone and Ulster Intermediate champions to victory,

Brother Sean also registered five points for Moy, who capped a remarkable campaign by lifting national silverware at Croke Park.
