Cork 7-22 Limerick 1-19

Clare 2-24 Kerry 1-15

Kieran Kingston's Cork proved to be far too strong for Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds.

Patrick Horgan and Shane Kingston both netted a hat-trick of goals for a determined Cork outfit, who claimed a second victory in the competition.

An excellent first half performance from Cork ensured the visitors were 3-12 to 1-9 ahead at the interval.

Barry Nash netted a goal for Limerick, but Cork struck three majors courtesy of Luke Meade, Alan Cadogan, and the highly rated Kingston.

It was a similar story after the restart as Cork remained in the ascendancy with Horgan (2), Kingston, and Michael O'Halloran scoring goals.

In Tralee Shane Nolan was accurate from frees for Kerry, who trailed by 1-12 to 0-11 at half-time against Clare.

Kevin Hehir hit a goal for Gerry O'Connor and Donal Maloney's side at Austin Stack Park.

When the action recommenced Podge Collins struck a second goal for Clare, who ran out comfortable victors.
