Cuala v Na Piarsaigh - AIB GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Club Championship Final

Cuala v Na Piarsaigh - AIB GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Club Championship Final

Saturday March 24

AIB All Ireland Senior Club Championship Final replay

Cuala (Dublin) v Na Piarsaigh (Limerick), O'Moore Park, 5.30pm

There was no shortage of drama at Croke Park in the first game.

Na Piarsaigh summoned a gutsy display, but Cuala came thundering back in normal and extra-time.

It was a game neither side deserved to lose so it was fitting that David Treacy's nerveless free forced a replay.

Who will prevail? Na Piarsaigh will be boosted by the availability of Conor Boylan and Tommy Grimes. This game could go the distance. Again.

Allianz Hurling League Quarter-Final

Wexford v Galway, Innovate Wexford Park, 3pm

The weather wreaked havoc in the south east last weekend, but this re-fixture still carries intrigue.

Satisfied to have retained Division 1A status, Wexford want to stay in the competition ahead of what promises to be a fascinating Leinster Championship.

Last year Galway really started to generate momentum at this stage of the League when embarking on a daring comeback mission against Waterford.

That afternoon at Pearse Stadium suggested there was steel to mix with Galway's undoubted skill. Another test is set for Saturday.

WEXFORD: Mark Fanning; Damien Reck, Liam Ryan, Simon Donohue; Paudie Foley, Matthew O'Hanlon, Diarmuid O'Keeffe; Kevin Foley, Shaun Murphy; Jack O'Connor, Conor McDonald, Paul Morris; Cathal Dunbar, Rory O'Connor, David Dunne.

Allianz Hurling League Division 2A Final

Westmeath v Carlow, O'Moore Park, 3.30pm

This should be an interesting encounter between two teams making quiet, but important strides.

Michael Ryan continues to extract wholehearted and honest displays from Westmeath, who would relish the opportunity to perform at 1B level.

Carlow, though, share a similar ambition and will be pumped up for this decider having lost to Westmeath in the group phase.

WESTMEATH: Paddy Carroll; Shane Power, Tommy Doyle, Gary Greville; Aaron Craig, Paul Greville, Derek McNicholas; Eoin Price, Cormac Boyle; John Gilligan, Robbie Greville, Allan Devine; Niall O'Brien, Niall Mitchell, Darragh Clinton.

CARLOW: Brian Tracey; Alan Corcoran, Paul Doyle, Michael Doyle; Eoin Nolan, David English, Richard Coady; Jack Kavanagh, Diarmuid Byrne; Seamus Murphy, Paul Coady, James Doyle; Martin Kavanagh, Edward Byrne, Chris Nolan.

Allianz Hurling League Division 2B relegation play/off

Armagh v Derry, Ballyshannon, 1pm

Retaining Division 2B status is the brief for Armagh and Derry, who have both endured disappointing campaigns.

Armagh defeated Derry 2-18 to 1-15 in Round Four and it is likely to be similarly hard fought with survival at stake.

Allianz Hurling League Division 3A Final

Louth v Warwickshire, Trim, 1pm

Warwickshire bring an unbeaten record into this decider, but Louth earned a draw against them in February.

Both teams want to raise silverware so this should be a lively battle.

Allianz Hurling League Quarter-Final

Dublin v Tipperary, Croke Park, 1pm

It has been a curious League campaign for Tipperary, who haven't been afraid to experiment.

The chief source of optimism is the enduring excellence of Jason Forde, who has flared to prominence in the UL and Tipperary jerseys.

The Silvermines clubman has been used in a variety of roles for Tipperary, but has made a real impact as a strike forward in 2018.

Following their opening day disaster against Offaly, Dublin improved considerably and 70 minutes spent in the company of Tipperary at GAA headquarters offers a stern test.

DUBLIN: Alan Nolan; Paddy Smyth, Bill O'Carroll, Eoghan O'Donnell; Shane Barrett, Chris Crummey, James Madden; Rian McBride, Fiontan McGibb; Donal Burke, Conal Keaney, Danny Sutcliffe; Ronan Hayes, Ryan O'Dwyer, Paul Winters.

TIPPERARY: Brian Hogan; Alan Flynn, James Barry, Michael Cahill; Barry Heffernan, Padraic Maher, Paudie Feehan; Seamus Kennedy, Ronan Maher; Sean Curran, Billy McCarthy, John McGrath; Michael Breen, Jason Forde, Cian Darcy.

Allianz Hurling League Division 3B Final

Leitrim v Lancashire, Ballyconnell, 12pm

It has been a good start to the year for these two teams with Lancashire encouraged by four straight wins.

Leitrim, though, only lost to Lancashire by a point last month so it is likely to be similarly tight in Ballyconnell.
