Liam Sheedy has been appointed as the new Tipperary hurling manager for a three year term.
Sheedy, who guided Tipperary to the All Ireland title in 2010, succeeds Michael Ryan.
Portroe clubman Sheedy, who played in Tipperary's 1997 All Ireland Final defeat against Clare before making a significant coaching impact.
Sheedy steered Tipperary to two Munster crowns and Allianz Hurling League glory in 2008.
During the past eight years Sheedy and his brother John guided Portroe to a North Tipperary Championship, while also assisting with Newmarket-on-Fergus, who triumphed in Clare in 2012.

Sheedy has been involved with UL Fitzgibbon Cup outfits, while also recently acting as an advisor with Offaly and Antrim.
"I am taking up the role with a huge sense of excitement and enthusiasm, mostly at the thought of getting back into the dressing-room and out on the field with Tipperary’s best," Sheedy says.
“I come on board again just two years after Michael Ryan led Tipperary to a superb All-Ireland title. He has handed over an incredibly talented squad that I look forward to finalising over the coming weeks and months and getting Tipperary ready for 2019.”
