Dublin and Offaly have advanced to the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Hurling Championships semi-finals after wins over Laois and Westmeath respectively.

Dublin claimed to 1-18 to 0-12 over Laois at O'Moore Park, while Offaly defeated Westmeath by 3-9 to 1-7 at Cusack Park.

Ahead 0-11 to 0-6 at the break in their match, Dublin were always in control with David Keogh netting a late insurance goal to seal the deal.

Johnny McGuirk Junior struck eight first half points for Dublin with Ciaran Dowling and Daire Gray also hitting points. Laois' Aaron Dunphy was accurate from frees, but Dublin were never seriously troubled.

Offaly were always in control in their match too, and never looked back after forging into a 1-7 to 0-1 half-time lead with the goal coming from David Buckley. They finished with a flourish too, as another goal from Joey Keenaghan sealed an eight point win.

Dublin will now play Kilkenny in the semi-finals with Offaly going toe to toe with Wexford.
