GAA.ie Hurler of the Week

1: Con O'Callaghan (Cuala) - 6,399 votes

2: Ronan Lynch (Na Piarsaigh) - 2,901 votes

3: Brian Cassidy (Slaughtneil) - 2,762 votes

The gifted Con O'Callaghan was at the heart of Cuala's attacking play once more in Semple Stadium contributing four points from play against Liam Mellows.

O'Callaghan caused the spirited Galway outfit plenty of problems throughout the match and remains a potent full forward for Mattie Kenny's accomplished team.

With Slaughtneil producing a strong start Na Piarsaigh needed to summon a response and Ronan Lynch inspired the 2016 AIB All Ireland club champions at Parnell Park.

Lynch, capable of operator in several positions, registered 14 points, including three from play, for the Limerick and Munster standard bearers.

Brian Cassidy impressed for a determined Slaughtneil team, who left the Donnycarney venue reflecting on what might have been.

Cassidy was sharp in attack for the Derry and Ulster champions, scoring 1-2, but Na Piarsaigh recovered to set up an interesting St Patrick's Day clash with Cuala.
