McGrath Cup
Cork 2-22 Tipperary 1-10
Limerick 2-13 Clare 2-9
Cork registered a deserved McGrath Cup triumph over Tipperary at Templetuohy.
A Niall Coakley goal helped Cork into a significant 1-9 to 0-3 advantage. Alan Moloney's major on the stroke of half-time for Tipp narrowed the gap, but Cork still led 1-12 to 1-4 at the turnaround.
Cork remained in the ascendancy as Coakley sealed the deal with a second goal late on.
Limerick were gritty throughout the first half at St Patrick's GAA Club with Darragh Treacy's goal edging them 1-5 to 0-7 in front at the interval.
Seamus O'Carroll added a second Limerick goal shortly after the restart. Cian O'Dea brought Clare back into contention with a brilliant goal, but Limerick held out.
