Peter Harte (Tyrone)

Peter Harte produced a powerful performance for Tyrone on Saturday as they dished out a beating to Armagh in the All-Ireland SFC Quarter-Final.

His ability to turn defence into attack with this speedy runs from deep was a consistent feature of the match, and every time he got forward he seemed to make something happen for Tyrone.

He finished with a tally of 1-2 to his name, the goal a perfectly struck penalty, and was also fouled for four of the first five frees that Tyrone converted.

Dean Rock (Dublin)

Dean Rock is worth his weight in gold to this Dublin team because his metronomic accuracy from placed balls means a score is almost guaranteed when the opposition concede a free inside their own half.

He landed a ’45 and seven frees from a variety of distances and angles in Saturday’s All-Ireland SFC Quarter-Final to punish the Monaghan defence for every loose tackle and moment of indiscipline.

He was a threat in open play too, and scored the second-half goal that killed the contest with a nice palmed finish to the corner of the net.

Aidan O’Shea (Mayo)

Aidan O’Shea produced the latest in a series of massive performances for Mayo in this Championship with a man of the match display against Roscommon yesterday.

His ability to win ball and use it wisely made him the focal point of the Mayo attack and a force the Roscommon defence seemed incapable of taming.

He scored two fine points from play and was at the heart of many more attacking moves as the Mayo forward line put Roscommon to the sword in devastating fashion.
