Kerry SFC Final

Dr. Crokes 0-17 South Kerry 1-12

Reigning All-Ireland Champions Dr. Crokes overcame the stiff challenge of South Kerry to retain their Kerry senior title at Austin Stack Park today.

The divisional side were left to rue some wasteful shooting, and in the end that profligacy was their undoing.

Despite starting without the injured Colm Cooper, Crokes were the better team in the first-half and led at the break by 0-11 to 1-6, with Ian Galvin hitting South Kerry’s goal.

Cooper came off the bench in the 42nd minute and his ability to win possession and use it wisely proved important.

It was still a nervy enough end to the match for Dr. Crokes though after Johnny Buckley was red-carded late on and South Kerry's Bryan Sheehan made it a one point game as the match ticked into injury-time.

But the always reliable Kieran O'Leary made the game safe for Dr. Crokes late on with the final score of the match.

Cork Senior Football Final replay

Nemo Rangers 4-12 St. Finbarr’s 3-13

Nemo Rangers resisted a brave second-half comeback from St. Finbarr’s to hold on for victory in a thrilling Cork Senior Football Final replay.

Two first-half goals from Jack Horgan and Luke Connolly had Nemo four up at half-time, and when Paul Kerrigan scored a third early in the second-half to give his team a 3-7 to 1-6 lead they looked set for a convincing victory.

A fourth Nemo goal from substitute Adrian Greaney seemed to be the icing on the cake, but in the closing minutes St. Finbarr’s summoned a rousing revival that came close to pulling the game out of the fire.

Substitute Eoghan Finn gave them some hope with a goal and when Stephen Sherlock then smashed a free to the net the gap was suddenly down to just four points.

The Nemo goal was under siege in the closing moments but they just about held out for the win.

Ballintubber v Castlebar Mitchels - Mayo County Senior Football Championship Final

Ballintubber v Castlebar Mitchels - Mayo County Senior Football Championship Final

Mayo SFC Final

Castlebar Mitchels 0-15 Ballintubber 0-13

Late points from Ger McDonagh and David Stenson earned Castlebar Mitchels a two-point win over Ballintubber in today’s Mayo SFC Final.

That makes it three Moclair Cups in a row for a Castlebar outfit whose appetite for success clearly remains undiminished.

They wouldn’t have won this match were they not as hungry as ever, because Ballintubber came with a ferocious challenge that fell just short.

Indeed, they led by two points at half-time and moved three clear early in the second-half, but it was Castlebar who dominated the match thereafter.

Along with Stenson and McDonagh, the powerful Barry Moran was a decisive performer for Castlebar, scoring three fine points from play.

Cillian O’Connor put on a free-taking master-class for Ballintubber and his brother Diarmuid looked like he might bring the match to a replay when he kicked a brilliant second-half point.

But in the dying minutes it was Mitchels who had one last kick as those scores from Stenson and McDonagh sealed victory.

St Brigid's v Roscommon Gaels - Roscommon County Senior Football Championship Final

St Brigid's v Roscommon Gaels - Roscommon County Senior Football Championship Final

Roscommon SFC Final

St. Brigid's 3-13 Roscommon Gaels 3-7

Late goals by Conor Murray and Eddie Nolan sealed victory for St. Brigid's over Roscommon Gaels in today's Roscommon SFC Final.

Until then the defending champions had struggled to dispatch a very game Gaels outfit who fought hard to stay in touch throughout.

St. Brigid's led by 1-9 to 2-4 at the break and started the second-half strongly, but a Mark Healy goal made the game interesting again until the Gaels were undone by that late two-goal salvo.

Limerick SFC Final

Adare 2-10 Newcastle West 1-10

An injury-time goal by Jack English secured a dramatic Limerick SFC Final win for Adare over Newcastle West today

It looked like Newcastle West were on the way to a second title in three years when they led by 1-10 to 1-9 as the match ticked into injury-time, but they were undone by a late Adare salvo of 1-1.

Adare had led by 1-6 to 0-6 at half-time, but Newcastle West came on strong in the second-half and a goal from Iain Corbett quickly drew them level.

Adare opened up a three-point lead again before four points in a row saw Newcastle West edge ahead at the end of normal time.

But then English struck for that goal and it was quickly followed by a point from Charlie McCarthy as Adare sealed the win in dramatic fashion.

Carlow SFC Final Replay

Éire Óg 2-8 Rathvilly 1-8

Éire Óg chiselled out a deserved win over Rathvilly in today's Carlow SFC Final replay.

The town team got off to a great start when Eoghan Ruth goaled from close range and from then on they never trailed on the scoreboard.

Down by two-points at half-time, Rathvilly's task became a lot tougher midway through the second-half when they lost Alan Kelly to a red-card and then conceded a second goal when Jordan Morrissey struck for Éire Óg.

Gary Dempsey hit converted a late penalty for Rathvilly, but it was too little, too late.

Sligo SFC Final

Tourlestrane 1-13 Eastern Harps 1-9

A strong-finishing Tourlestrane made it back to back Sligo SFC titles thanks to a four-point victory over Eastern Harps today.

The defending champions went into the match as warm favourites but found themselves trailing at half-time after a defensive mix-up saw them concede a soft goal just before the break.

Tourlestrane took control in the second-half though, and the decisive moment of the contest came when Cathal Henry struck for a 51st minute goal that put his team five points ahead.

London SFC Final

Fulham Irish 0-15 Tir Chonaill Gaels 1-11

Former Tyrone star Owen Mulligan kicked the winning point for Fulham Irish against Tir Chonaill in a hard-fought London SFC Final today.

It was the Gaels who led at half-time by 1-5 to 0-7 with the goal coming from Joe Roberts and at that point they looked like the more likely winners as they would have the win at their back for the second-half.

But with ten minutes of the match remaining they were reduced to 14 men after Kevin Rafferty was red-carded, and Fulham Irish made the most of their numerical advantage thereafter as they came from three points down to win by the minimum.
