The Moore Family

Members of the Moore family talk about their involvement in the GAA over the years. They recall their early memories of the Association and how the family was deeply involved in it. They discuss growing up in Carbury and what the area was like. They talk about the facilities for GAA in the past and how they improved over the years. They talk about playing with the Carbury club and with Kildare and describe the amount of medals they have individually won between them. Joe and Tom talk about being referees and what that was like. The group recall various stories over the years and describe the role of the GAA in the community. They each give their opinion on the GAA in recent times and talk about issues in the Association such as the role of women, professionalism, pay for play and expenses. They talk about how the GAA has changed over the years and give their opinion on these changes. They highlight the important role the GAA has had in their family life and describe what the GAA has meant to them during their lives.
