Seán Nevin

Sean Nevin talks about his family background and his father's passion for hurling. He explains how the GAA shaped his family life as a child and his own personal identity. As an Offaly supporter he recalls various matches among which Offaly All-Ireland wins in football in 1971 and in hurling in 1981. He discusses the biggest changes in the GAA over the years such as the decline in birth rate and its consequences in club life and the changing role of women and clergy. he also speaks about his own involvement at club level and discusses its playing record and rivalries.
