Meath set up an interesting Bord Na Mona O'Byrne Cup Semi-Final encounter against Dublin following an impressive win over Wexford in Enniscorthy.

Andy McEntee's outfit produced a solid opening period display to lead by 0-9 to 0-5 at half-time.

After the restart Sean Tobin bagged a goal which edged the Royals nine points clear against a determined Wexford team.

Donal Shanley replied with a goal in the closing stages for Wexford, but Meath held on to secure the spoils.

Longford also reached the last four of the competition following an exciting draw with Louth.

The midlanders were ahead by 1-12 to 1-6 at the end of an exciting first half, but the visitors were much improved when the action recommenced.

Peter Lynn struck Longford's major, while Robbie Smyth maintained his good form for Padraic Davis' men.

In the dying moments Ross Nally and Declan Byrne rifled over points for Louth for whom Tadhg McEeaney netted a first half goal.

At Netwatch Cullen Park Turlough O'Brien's Carlow enjoyed a narrow triumph over Offaly.

Two late Paul Kingston bagged a couple of goals in the closing minutes as Laois defeated Wicklow in Bray.

At the interval Wicklow were 2-4 to 0-6 in front following Patrick O'Connor and Anthony McLoughlin goals, but Laois finished strongly.
