GAA.ie Hurler of the Week
1: Martin Kavanagh (Carlow) - 6,090 votes
2: Diarmuid Byrnes (Limerick) - 5,798 votes
3: Colm Galvin (Clare) - 4,891 votes
It was a memorable weekend for Carlow with Martin Kavanagh a prominent figure as Colm Bonnar's rapidly improving team drew with Galway at Netwatch Cullen Park.
Kavanagh struck 0-11 including the last gasp equaliser as the gritty home team divided the spoils with the 2017 All Ireland champions.
One of the sweetest long range strikers in the game, Diarmuid Byrnes was immense as Limerick outfoxed Tipperary at the Gaelic Grounds.
Byrnes rifled over four points for John Kiely's charges, who have enjoyed a hugely productive start in Division 1A of the Allianz Hurling League.
Clare had many excellent displays on Sunday, but Colm Galvin's craft and ability to drill scores from deep was critical against Kilkenny.
Shane Golden's form is a source of optimism, while Galvin delivered impressively when Kilkenny were posing stern questions in Ennis.
