Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Hurling semi-final

GALWAY 4-18 LIMERICK 0-15

Classy Galway proved too good for Limerick in Friday night’s Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Hurling semi-final.

A ruthless scoring burst of 3-6 in eight second-half minutes proved decisive as Galway raised their game to another level just when it looked like Limerick were starting to build some momentum of their own.

Gavin Lee's fine goal when he soared high to catch a ball before cutting through the Limerick defence to fire the ball to the net was the spark that ignited Galway’s purple patch.

Liam Collins followed up with two more goals that allowed Galway to coast to a comfortable victory that didn’t look so likely after a strong third-quarter performance from Limerick.
