Tipperary's Jason Forde has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

Tipperary's Jason Forde has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The public has voted Tipperary’s Jason Forde the GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The prolific forward received 2,526 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Cork’s Conor Lehane (2,491) and Limerick’s Micheál Houihan (2,320)

Jason Forde (Tipperary)

The Kilkenny defence just couldn’t contain Tipperary sharpshooter, Jason Forde, in their Allianz Hurling League Division 1 clash at Nowlan Park. The Silvermines clubman finished with a personal tally of 1-15, which included 1-5 from play and a beautifully converted sideline cut.

Conor Lehane (Cork)

Midleton clubman, Conor Lehane, produced another classy display for the Rebels in their Allianz Hurling League Division 1 victory over Galway. He scored 2-3 from play and could have had even more such was the efficacy with which he created opportunities for himself.

Micheál Houlihan (Limerick)

Micheál Houlihan announced himself as a potential star in the making on his League debut for Limerick against Clare on Saturday. He scored 12 points, four of them from play, and the flicked pass he produced in the run-up to Donnacha Ó Dálaigh’s goal was a thing of beauty.

Players of the Week are decided based on votes cast by followers of the Official GAA Instagram page.
