Padraic Mannion, David Fitzgerald, and Rory O'Connor are this week's nominees for GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

Galway’s Padraic Mannion, Clare’s David Fitzgerald, and Wexford’s Rory O’Connor are this week’s nominees for GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The voting process is simple: like their image on the GAA's official Instagram page.

Voting will close at 12pm on Wednesday, May 4, and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.

Padraic Mannion (Galway)

Mannion was a defensive colossus for Galway in their dramatic Leinster SHC win over Kilkenny. He hurled a huge amount of ball, and was especially effective when moved onto Kilkenny’s main danger-man, Eoin Cody.

David Fitzgerald (Clare)

The powerfully built half-forward scored three important points for Clare in their Munster SHC victory over Cork and was especially influential when they were reduced to 14 men in the second-half at a time when his team needed inspiration most.

Rory O’Connor (Wexford)

The in-form O’Connor ran riot in Wexford’s heavy defeat of Laois in the Leinster SHC. He scored 1-3 from play and also won the two penalties that Mark Fanning converted.

Players of the Week are decided based on votes cast by followers of the Official GAA Instagram page.
