Galway's Conor Whelan, Kilkenny's Alan Murphy, and Offaly's Liam Langton are the nominees for GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The nominees for GAA.ie Hurler of the Week are Galway’s Conor Whelan, Kilkenny’s Alan Murphy, and Offaly’s Liam Langton.

The voting process is simple: like their image on the GAA's official Instagram page.

Voting will close at 10am on Tuesday, May 18, and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.

Conor Whelan (Galway)

Conor Whelan was very much to the fore for Galway as the Tribesmen handed Limerick their first defeat since the 2019 All-Ireland SHC semi-final. The powerful forward scored three points from play and also won a huge amount of ball and used it cleverly.

Alan Murphy (Kilkenny)

Kilkenny were given a fright by Antrim in Nowlan Park, but any jangling nerves were calmed by the metronomic accuracy of Alan Murphy. He scored 13 points, four of them from play, and did most things with a touch of class.

Liam Langton (Offaly)

Liam Langton was Offaly’s main man as the Faithful County defeated 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup runners-up, Kerry, by 21 points. He scored 1-6 from play and terrorised the Kerry defence with his pace and accuracy.

Players of the Week are decided based on votes cast by followers of the Official GAA Instagram page.
