The brilliant Borris-Ileigh star earned 9,906 votes on the Official GAA Instagram page with Ballyhale Shamrocks' Colin Fennelly second and Tullaroan's Tommy Walsh third.

The Tipperary star nailed 0-10 including two sensational efforts from play as Borris-Ileigh edged out St Thomas' at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

Ballyhale Shamrocks were given a real fright by a determined Slaughtneil outfit, but Colin Fennelly's two goals proved decisive.

Kilkenny attacker Fennelly had the power and poise to contribute the key scores in an action packed encounter.

Tommy Walsh won nine All Ireland senior medals during a decorated career with Kilkenny, but he continues to deliver for Tullaroan.

Walsh struck 2-1 in Tullaroan's AIB All Ireland Club Intermediate Hurling Championship Semi-Final win over Naomh Eanna at Parnell Park on Saturday.
