London 1-12 Waterford 2-8

Leitrim 2-16 Tipperary 2-8

Cavan 0-17 Wexford 1-8

Michael Maher's London chalked up another hugely encouraging Allianz Football League Division Four win against Waterford at Ruislip, 1-12 to 2-8.

So impressive when overcoming Carlow, London started brightly with Killian Butler bagging a vital goal.

Stephen Curry and David Hallahan replied with goals for Waterford, but London did enough to secure the spoils on home turf.

Promotion favourites Cavan were never in any serious bother against Wexford at Kingspan Breffni, emerging 0-17 to 1-8 victors.

Cavan dominated the opening period to accumulate a healthy 0-12 to 0-3 interval advantage.

John Turbitt grabbed a 54th minute Wexford goal to reduce the gap to six points.

In the closing stages Gearoid McKiernan, who finished with 0-5, clipped a crucial score as Cavan closed out the deal.

Sligo proved far too strong for a depleted Carlow at Markievicz Park as Tony McEntee's team won 0-28 to 0-5.

Niall Murphy was Sligo's top scorer with nine points, while Pat Spillane Junior rifled over two second half scores.

Sean Carrabine, Luke Towey, Alan Reilly, and Pat Hughes also made an impact for Sligo.

At FBD Semple Stadium Keith Beirne's eight point haul helped Leitrim to a 2-16 to 2-8 triumph over Tipperary.

Conor Sweeney struck 2-6 for the Premier County, but it still wasn't enough to deny the visitors.

Leitrim were 0-8 to 0-5 ahead at the break with Beirne starring, while James Rooney's 40th minute goal was a boost.

Sweeney replied with two Tipperary goals, but Tom Prior's major earned Leitrim, beaten by Cavan last Sunday, victory.
