Laois 1-17 Wicklow 0-8

Louth 2-12 Fermanagh 0-14

Gaining belief and momentum, Louth earned a fine 2-12 to 0-14 win over Fermanagh at Brewster Park.

Two first half Louth goals ensured Mickey Harte's improving team led 2-5 to 0-7 at the turnaround.

Tommy Durnin's early goal gave Louth a dream start with Liam Jackson and Bevan Duffy quickly adding points.

The in form Sam Mulroy scored a second Louth goal in the 16th minute edging them six points in front, 2-3 to 0-3.

Garvan Jones and Seán Quigley rifled over scores for Fermanagh, but Louth did enough to secure a hugely encouraging result.

Laois enjoyed a comfortable 1-17 to 0-8 victory over Wicklow in Aughrim.

At the interval Laois, with Evan O'Carroll and Gary Walsh contributing four points between them, led 0-7 to 0-5.

Playing with the aid of the wind Wicklow's Mark Jackson had drilled two 45s but Laois pulled clear after the restart.

O'Carroll reacted sharply to net a goal with Walsh quickly adding a point from a free as Laois moved 1-9 to 0-6 in front.

From then until the finish Wicklow were in damage limitation mode as Laois, with Walsh prominent, closed out the deal impressively.

Sligo 3-19 London 0-10

Leitrim 2-14 Carlow 1-10

Tipperary 1-11 Cavan 1-7

Wexford 0-15 Waterford 0-14

Tipperary caused a surprise at Kingspan Breffni beating Cavan 1-11 to 1-7.

At the interval David Power's team led by 1-5 to 1-4, but they restricted previously unbeaten Cavan to three points in the second half.

Conor Sweeney struck an opportunistic goal in the 21st minute following a sharp Tipperary move.

Tipp edged five points clear, 1-5 to 0-3, but Cavan finished the half strongly to reduce the gap.

Caoimhin O'Reilly netted a goal for Cavan as they reduced the margin to the minimum.

After the restart, though, Tipperary produced a gutsy display to earn the spoils.

Andy Moran's Leitrim defeated Carlow at Netwatch Cullen Park by 2-14 to 1-10.

Keith Beirne's ninth minute major guided Leitrim into a 1-2 to 0-2 advantage.

Carlow, though, replied immediately as Jamie Clarke converted a penalty to restore parity.

Leitrim were 1-8 to 1-5 behind when Ryan O'Rourke struck a goal to tie the teams.

A Darragh Foley free edged Carlow into a narrow 1-9 to 2-5 half-time lead.

In the second half O'Rourke, Beirne, and Jack Heslin fired over important scores as Leitrim prevailed.

Sligo proved too strong for London at Markievicz Park, registering a 3-19 to 0-10 win.

Niall Murphy and Brian Egan planted first half goals for Sligo, who were dominant throughout.

The excellent Murphy, who finished with a 2-5 haul, added a third goal in the second half.

Sligo's Conor Griffin and London's Conal Gallagher were sent off in the second periold

Liam Gavaghan clipped three points for London, but Sligo controlled the match.

Seán Carrabine and Alan Reilly made significant contributions for Sligo, who will believe that promotion can be attained.

Wexford edged out Waterford by 0-15 to 0-14 at Chadwicks Wexford Park.

The home team settled impressively moving 0-7 to 0-1 ahead by the 15th minute.

Jason Curry was effective for Waterford, who trailed by 0-10 to 0-6 against a Mark Rossiter inspired Wexford at the break.

It was highly competitive after the break as a Darragh Corcoran free brought Waterford to within one point, 0-13 to 0-12 in the last quarter.

Then Jason Curry levelled, but Wexford's Robbie Brooks guided them ahead and they held on.
