Allianz Football League Division Four
Saturday February 23
Limerick v Leitrim, Kilmallock, 3pm
With momentum being generated by Terry Hyland's arrival and victories following these are encouraging moments for Leitrim.
Antrim came within a whisker of earning a draw against Leitrim, but the Connacht team found a wway as Domhnaill Flynn landed a last gasp free to stretch their winning sequence to three.
Ryan O'Rourke and Darragh Rooney's form is another source of optimism, but Limerick had enjoyed a reasonable start too before losing to Wicklow.
Billy Lee's Limerick had beaten London and Waterford, but suffered a 2-8 to 1-6 setback in Aughrim.
Sunday February 24
Antrim v London, Corrigan Park, 1pm
Antrim have been competitive, but will be disappointed that no points have been registered so far.
London opened their account with an impressive win over Wexford in which homegrown players Liam Gavaghan and Killian Butler starred.
Antrim, though, will be striving to finish the spring by chalking up some victories.
Under Ciaran Deely's stewardship London are durable opponents so this should be a lively encounter.
Derry v Wicklow, Watty Graham Park, 2pm
Division Four isn't where Derry want to be, but the initial signs suggest that their stay will be brief.
Three victories in a row have been posted by Derry, who adequately dealt with Waterford in their most recent outing.
Combining emerging and experienced players is what Damian McErlain is attempting to do with Shane McGuigan landing some fine scores against Waterford.
Wexford v Waterford, Innovate Wexford Park, 2pm
Last summer Waterford enjoyed a rare All Ireland Qualifiers success over Wexford, who were enduring a harrowing campaign.
Small signs of a Wexford recovery were hinted during the Bord Na Mona O'Byrne Cup and the League win over Antrim.
But Wexford subsequently endured a heavy beating against a London outfit primed for a battle at McGovern Park in Ruislip.
Waterford have been outfoxed by Wicklow, Limerick, and Derry, but Benji Whelan could locate some positives from the hard working display against the Oak Leaf County.
