Oughterard summoned a daring and defiant display to stun Templenoe at the penultimate stage.
Now, though, the Galway and Connacht Intermediate champions face another daunting task against Magheracloone.
The Monaghan outfit contested a County Senior Football Final in 2017 with Tommy Freeman and Gavin Doogan still influential figures.
Matthew Tierney is developing into a player of considrable promise in the west and will be Oughterard's chief attacking threat.
Tierney's brother, Enda, has inter-county experience with Galway too, but Oughterard will be fully aware of Magheracloone's considerable ability.

Matthew Cody and Brendan Furlong were other prominent figures for Rathgarogue-Cushinstown, who know all about Na Gaeil's potential.
The Kerry and Munster standard bearers eventually shrugged off Kilmaine's spirited resistance in Ennis.
