Tomo Culhane kicked 1-10 as Galway cruised into the Connacht Minor Championship Final following an emphatic win over Leitrim at Tuam Stadium

Nathan Grainger (2), Warren Seoighe, and Shane McGrath also rattled the Leitrim net, while Daniel Cox rifled over five points.

Gavin Duffy was the star of the show as Sligo defeated Roscommon in a thriller to set up a semi-final meeting against Mayo next Wednesday evening.

Duffy struck 2-3 from play for Sligo, while Eoghan Smith contributed five points as Roscommon were outfoxed despite scoring four goals.

Mark Purcell, Aaron Oyiki, Adam McDermott, and Patrick Gavin all grabbed goals for Roscommon, who had stormed into a 3-4 to 0-8 interval advantage.

Liam McDonald's hat-trick ensured Monaghan defeated Donegal in a high scoring Ulster Championship encounter.

Jason Irwin and Tiarnan Kearns were the other Monaghan goalscorers during an entertaining clash.

Carlos O'Reilly pinched two first half goals for Donegal, but Monaghan prevailed.

Tyrone proved too strong for Derry with Luke Donnelly's 46th minute goal from a penalty the decisive moment.

At the break Tyrone led by 0-9 to 0-6 with the impressive Donnelly steering the Red Hands into the final.

In Leinster late points from Aaron Browne and Shane Flynn secured victory for Kildare against Laois.

Laois were 1-3 to 0-5 in front at half-time with Oisin Hooney supplying the goal, but Kildare responded after the restart.
