AIB All-Ireland Club JFC Semi-Finals

Stewartstown Harps 1-14 Clifden 1-9 AET

Fossa 3-14 Castletown 0-11

Stewartstown Harps and Fossa will contest the AIB All-Ireland Club JFC Final at Croke Park next weekend.

At Dr Hyde Park Stewartstown Harps eventually shrugged off Clifden's challenge to secure a 1-14 to 1-9 success after extra-time.

Clifden enjoyed some encouraging moments in a well contested opening period with the experienced John O'Brien netting a 19th minute goal to edge the Galway side 1-2 to 0-2 ahead.

Gerard O'Neill and Tiernan Rush replied with Stewartstown points as Clifden departed 1-2 to 0-4 in front at the break.

It was similarly hard fought after the restart with a 43rd minute Gareth Devlin point for Harps restoring parity, 0-7 to 1-4, in the 43rd minute.

A couple of Ger Gibbons frees for Clifden provided Ray Hogan's team with hope, but Stewartstown finished strongly to force extra-time, 0-9 to 1-6.

Gibbons edged Clifden into a two point advantage, but Stewartstown, with Gareth Devlin sharp, responded in excellent fashion.

An opportunistic goal from Devlin in the first period was a critical score and Stewartstown closed out the deal.

Fossa, prompted by the Clifford brothers, were always in the ascendancy against Castletown.

The Kerry and Munster champions earned a convincing 3-14 to 0-11 success.

Castletown caused Fossa some problems initially, but Cian O'Shea's 19th minute major was a vital moment in the match.

Before the break Emmet O'Shea added a second for Fossa, who were 2-7 to 0-6 clear at half-time.

Eoin Talbot added a third goal in the 32nd minute as Fossa controlled the game.

The Cliffords contributed third quarter points for Fossa, who were never seriously troubled in the closing stages.

Kevin Ross clipped some good points for Castletown, but Fossa held on to record another victory.
