The public has voted Armagh’s Ethan Rafferty the GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

The Orchard County goalkeeper received 7,861 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Sligo’s Alan Reilly (3,108), and Cavan’s Thomas Galligan (2,587).

Ethan Rafferty – Armagh

Sweeper Keeper Ethan Rafferty was superb for Armagh in their All-Ireland SFC Qualifier win over Tyrone. He got up the field to score two points from play and his distribution was top-notch too.

Thomas Galligan – Cavan

Midfielder Galligan needed just 14 seconds to score a goal for Cavan against Fermanagh and didn’t let up thereafter in their Tailteann Cup quarter-final, finishing with a personal tally of 1-4 from play.

Alan Reilly – Sligo

Reilly was clinical for Sligo in their dramatic Tailteann Cup win over Leitrim. He scored six points from play and also converted a penalty in the shoot-out that decided the game.
