Cork were 2-13 to 0-3 ahead at the interval and controlled the contest throughout.
Clare proved too strong for **Limerick **at Cusack Park as Shane Meehan and Mark McInerney struck first half goals.
The Banner boys dominated the first half to lead by 2-9 to 0-4, but Limerick improved when the action recommenced.
Paul O'Shaughnessy responded with a Limerick major, but McInerney, who finished with 2-3, scored a goal for Clare.
Late on John Hayes nicked a consolation for Limerick, but Clare held on to record a satisfying success.
