The Kerry maestro received 8,805 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Galway’s Paul Conroy and Cavan’s Paddy Lynch.

Clifford was at his magical best for Kerry in Sunday’s Allianz Football League Division 1 Final win over Mayo. He scored 1-6, 1-5 of it from play, and terrorised the Mayo defence with his power, skill, and sublime finishing.
Paul Conroy (Galway)
Paul Conroy was sensational for Galway in their one-point Allianz Football League Division Two Final defeat to Roscommon. He powerful midfielder kicked six points from play from a variety of different angles and distances.
Paddy Lynch (Cavan)
Paddy Lynch was Cavan’s match-winner in their Allianz Football League Division 4 victory over Tipperary on Saturday. He scored 2-3, and those goals ultimately proved vital in a match of fine margins.
