Tipperary cruised to a convincing victory over Waterford at Sean Treacy Park.

The Premier County outfit struck three first half goals to seize control against Waterford.

Paddy Creedon, Kyle Shelly, and Tom Tobin netted majors for Tipperary, who were 3-8 to 0-5 clear at the interval.

Aidan Behan and Aaron Ryan did land some opening period scores for Waterford, but Tipperary were never seriously troubled after the restart.

Shelly sealed the deal with a fourth Tipperary goal in the closing stages.

Clare proved too strong for Limerick in Newcastlewest as Dermot Coughlan's charges enjoyed an encouraging victory.

Limerick had been bright initially edging 0-5 to 0-2 ahead before Clare responded in impressive fashion.

Jamie Stack's 16th minute goal helped Clare to accumulate a 1-7 to 0-6 half-time lead.

When the action recommenced Diarmuid Fahy added a second Clare goal, while Eoin Talty decorated the triumph with a third in the last minute.
