The Mayo star earned 6,368 votes on the Official GAA Instagram page with Corofin's Martin Farragher second and Tyrone's Cathal McShane third.

Aidan O'Shea enjoyed a productive outing for Mayo, who defeated Kerry in the Allianz Football League on Saturday evening.

The Breaffy clubman was hugely influential for James Horan's team, who hope to secure a place in the final next weekend.

For the second year in a row Martin Farragher was in great AIB All Ireland Club Final day form.

Farragher notched four sweet points from play as Corofin retained the title with a convincing victory over Dr Crokes.

Cathal McShane caused Dublin plenty of problems in Saturday's Allianz Football League Division One clash at Croke Park.

McShane scored 1-4 and his ability to win possession throughout helped Tyrone considerably.
