Hurling Helmets
As per rule 4.2(i) in the Official Guide “It shall be mandatory for, and the responsibility of, each individual player to wear a helmet with a facial guard that meets the standards set out in IS355 or other replacement standard as determined by the National Safety Authority of Ireland (NSAI)”.
Some of the Helmets supplied by one or more of the suppliers may not be IS355 approved. Only IS355 helmets are permitted by rule and covered by the GAA Injury Fund:
