Kildare sharp-shooter John Doyle has again been selected to captain the Lilywhites in 2010.
The Leinster county's regular top marksman, and the highest Championship scorer overall in 2008, will remain on as captain under Kieran McGeeney as he looks to continue a run of not having missed a Championship game since making his debut in 2000.
"John did a great job this year and he will captain us again next season," McGeeney was quoted as saying by the Irish Independent.
The Lilywhites have shown two years of real promise under McGeeney, reaching the All-Ireland quarter-finals in each of the last couple of seasons before being edged by Cork and Tyrone respectively.
They also came close to adding to Doyle's sole Leinster Championship, won back in his debut season, last term when they nearly overcame Dublin in the provincial final.
Next year's Leinster campaign will see McGeeney's men begin with a quarter-final against either Longford or Louth.
Longford themselves are expected to retain their captain with Paul Barden set to stay on in the role.
