A busy week awaits in third level action with the Independent.ie Fitzgibbon Cup Quarter-Finals taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Limerick is the place to be with three of the four games taking place, while the Mardyke will provide an ideal backdrop for UCC’s clash with DCU.

Holders Mary I, managed by Jamie Wall, face NUIG, who have Galway Under 21 boss Tony Ward in charge.

On Wednesday Brian Lohan and DJ Carey are the respective bosses as UL host IT Carlow in what promises to be an interesting tussle.

Later that afternoon across town in Limerick Davy Fitzgerald’s LIT and Nicky English’s UCD collide in another fascinating fixture.

Next weekend at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Ballyhaunis the Independent.ie Sigerson Cup takes centre stage.

GAA.ie will be previewing all the weekend’s action in the coming days. Click here for a list of this week’s Higher Education GAA fixtures.
