Jamie Barron (Waterford)

Fourmilewater clubman Jamie Barron was at his brilliant best against Cork.

Two splendid second half goals capped a typically industrious display from Barron, who inspired Waterford throughout.

Barron continues to impress for the Deise and his 2-1 contribution was hugely influential.

Patrick Horgan (Cork)

Patrick Horgan drilled 0-12 for Cork, including five sweet efforts from play.

The Glen Rovers star was excellent for Cork, especially during a lively opening period.

Unfortunately in the closing stages Horgan was red carded, but he had delivered in style for the Munster champions.

Kevin Moran (Waterford)

When Waterford needed scores and inspiration during a demanding first half captain Kevin Moran led by example.

The hard working De La Salle clubman struck three points before the break and added a fourth after the restart.

There is no denying the promise of an emerging crop of Waterford youngsters, but the experienced duo of Moran and Michael 'Brick' Walsh remain key figures.
