The GAA will launch a number of initiatives and applications over the coming weeks as part of the GAA communications plan in an effort to provide content on various online media platforms to GAA members and supporters worldwide.
In March of this year, the GAA successfully re-launched GAA.ie with almost 1.25m visits to the site since the re-launch. Initiatives to come on stream in the coming weeks include the first of its kind, a new GAA online magazine show, ‘Round the Square, an official GAA iPhone App, a mobile version of GAA.ie and columnists exclusive to GAA.ie, former football and hurling greats, Jason Sherlock and Joe Deane.
‘Round the Square, the GAA’s first ever dedicated online magazine show viewable at www.roundthesquare.ie, will be available weekly each Thursday until the end of both the Hurling and Football Championships. The first episode can now be viewed online. Each week the show will feature: the latest GAA news, GAA columnists Joe Deane & Jason Sherlock previewing the weekend's action, Super Scores, My Club, Player Focus and a Behind the Scenes view from Croke Park.
The official GAA iPhone App will be launched in the coming weeks. The App will give users the latest news, videos, fixtures & results, the thoughts of our columnists exclusive to GAA.ie, as well as the latest ticketing information, photo galleries and venue information. Visit GAA.ie in the coming week for more information on when you can download this exciting new GAA iPhone App.
A mobile version of GAA.ie will also be available soon with news, fixtures & results the main sections available on this platform.
